Dj Soul Sister's parties are the stuff of legends. In a town most famous for it's live music her DJ sets are known to whip a loyal legion of fans into an ecstatic frenzy with her blend of funk, rare groove and disco. Her Soul Power show has been a Saturday night staple for over twenty years on the revered WWOZ (check out the live stream). And if that weren't enough, she is currently earning a degree at Tulane University in musicology with her thesis based on Washington D.C.'s GoGo scene.
